Hi, I’m Magbè…

BUSINESS AND MINDSET COACH FOR AFRICAN AND IMMIGRANT WOMEN

And, I want to ignite your vision so your dream can come through.

I grew up in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa. I am currently living in the United States. As an immigrant mom-preneur I know how difficult it is to find a balance between your priorities and getting it right every time. Wanting to start a business is rewarding and believe it or not, most people have already, although only a few ever get around to actually doing it. Besides the financial and family constraints, there is a high perceived risk to leaving the traditional career lifestyle. It’s a tough job to feel in control, think positive and be satisfied all the time.

I’ve been in your shoes. I’m here to hold your hand and aid you to define what you want, where you want to go and then help you get you there. My diverse background also contributes to the singular vision that I bring to my company. I will guide you to establish a solid plan to define your step by step processes. The best part, I will be the support you need and be your own personal business and mindset coach. I want you to reach your goals, so I am happy to help you get there.

Remember, life happens FROM you, and TO you.

So, are you ready to put yourself first?

Let’s get your show on the road and start rocking your world!

From Soma C.

Since Magbè launched Makomas, I have been impressed with 3 characteristics that she has consistently displayed:

1. Perseverance – At the beginning, it was quite challenging, and things were not happening fast enough. When a door would close, she would find the next door that will open.

2. Tenacity- As can be expected when launching a new business, there will be ups and downs. No matter what the challenge has been, she has remained focused, faced adversity and plowed through it.

3. Positivity- I have been so impressed how Magbè has remained positive. She would always stay motivated, pick herself up, believing that she could make it and find a way to make things happen.

Magbè has displayed the key characteristics that an entrepreneur needs to be successful and I have no doubt that she will make Makomas a great success with her hard work, tenacity and positive attitude!

From Jerry J.

I met Magbè in 2013 at a business planning class at the Center for Women and Enterprise where she was a student and I was an instructor/consultant. I was impressed by her then and now, 5 years later, I am very happy to get reacquainted with her at Mass Challenge where she is a finalist and I am a mentor. Her business is already a success and she is well positioned to take her business to the next level of rapid growth.

From Cheryl W.

My relationship with Magbè is a personal one. I first met Magbè when she arrived in my town to attend Colby-Sawyer College. She was no ordinary college freshman. She had left her family and home in Côte d’Ivoire West Africa to come to a new country where she had to learn a new language and culture. But, she was a hard worker and was determined to earn a college degree and in time, become an American citizen, both of which she achieved. Always eager to share her culture and cuisine with others, Magbè volunteered to cook her national dishes and share them with her fellow students and the wider community during an annual international program the school sponsored. I attended and, every year, the dinner that Magbè singlehandedly prepared for almost two hundred people, was always scrumptious. This level of determination is what Magbè is all about. When things need to get done, you can depend on her to do so, with both panache and excellence. So, it does not surprise me that since college graduation, Magbè, with her many talents, has become entrepreneurial. I remember the first time she offered me a refreshing drink that she had made. I tasted it and was in awe. Not only was it delicious, but I had never before tasted anything quite like it. Evidently, I was not the only one to react this positively. It was not long after, that Magbè launched her own beverage company. I watched her start out by introducing a few flavors to people at summer fairs and farmer’s markets. The fact that everyone who tried these juices loved them, is not enough to run a business. There are regulations to follow, labeling laws and workplace requirements that must be followed. What Magbè didn’t know, she learned. What needed to be done, she achieved. That once naissante business now offers a variety of high quality products, positioning Makomas to become a national brand. Not forgetting the women of Africa who source her raw ingredients, Magbè has set up a foundation to give back to those same communities. Truly, Magbè epitomizes the best of values one could want in an entrepreneur or, as in my case, a friend.
